The door header upper is a horizontal structural component in an ISO shipping container, forming the top part of the rear end frame at the door opening (opposite the front wall). It spans the width of the container, connecting the tops of the rear corner posts (inner: 12 x 113 x 40 x 2353 mm; outer: 6.0 x 50 x 40 x 232 x 2400 mm) and interfacing with the top end rail (3.0 x 100 x 26 x 277 x 2400 mm). It supports the roof panel, provides a mounting surface for the upper hinge blades (welding type with nylon bush), and ensures a weather-tight seal for the cargo doors against the door sill (base of the door opening).

Description

Typically made of corten steel (weather-resistant alloy), the door header upper is critical for structural integrity, stacking strength (per ISO 1161 for corner fittings), and door alignment in compliance with ISO 668 for container dimensions.
